After an initial inquiry for the event is made. Follow the steps below:

1. Click the Request Forms link, download, fill-out, then email the .PDF Event Reservation Form to music@chrisjohnscello.com.

Once received, this form will provide Chris Johns, Cello, the information to produce a contract for the event.

2. After receiving the contract, sign and return with event deposit. At this point, booking is finalized

3. Click the Available Music link, download list of music repertoire available for your event. Music is listed according to ensemble type reserved.

4. Return to Request Forms link, download the Music Request Form. Complete with selections for your event, then email to music@chrisjohnscello.com


What musical options can be provided for an event?

Chris Johns is a professional cellist, however working with a large network of musicians, many combinations of instruments can be provided. Johns can help with booking your event even if he is not playing. Examples are listed below.

Solo Cello
Solo Violin
Solo Piano/Organ
Solo Harp (referral made)
String Duo: violin, cello
String Trio: violin, viola, cello
String Quartet: 2 violins, viola, cello
Piano Trio: piano or electric keyboard, violin, cello
Strings and Winds: flute, oboe, or clarinet with any string combination


Can you play outside?

Absolutely! Chris Johns, cello will provide music for outside venues including THE BEACH. It is asked that cover is provided in the case of direct sunlight because of its effects on our instruments. Beach weddings often incur additional charges because cover is often difficult.

We typically do not play in temperatures below 55 degrees without a heat source. This is also because of the effects on our instruments.

We take as many precautions as possible and will work with you in providing a weather related solution for your event.


How much does it cost?

Every event is different, however, rates begin at $165 for the first hour of an event. Visit the Special Event link for more info.


How many weddings have you provided music for?

In the last 12 years, Chris Johns, Cello has provided music for more than 500 weddings and has committed to providing the most professional service for your event. Visit the Bio link for more information about Chris Johns.


How do I pay for services?

Acceptable forms of payment include Personal Checks, Cash, and Online Payment.

The Online Payment through www.chrisjohnscello.com is a secure transaction via PayPal.com. No PayPal account is needed and payments can be made with ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS

The Online Payment is a great new tool that provides an immediate receipt for your payment without the hassle of waiting for a personal check to clear.

What can I do if you are unavailable to play for my wedding?

Chris Johns, cello, is not able to perform for every wedding that he is requested for. By maintaining a large network of professional musicians, Chris Johns can contract musicians for your special day. Typically this service is provided free of charge and is handled on a case by case basis.

For the most part updates have been moving along smoothly, except for the fact that the power adapter for my laptop, burned through its own cable. So....until the new one arrives, a few projects are on hold.

I am expecting to upload some lists of music available for special events and maybe even some audio.

This week is crammed tight with rehearsals for various concerts coming up over the next month.

Well, the last few weeks have been a little busy. I've been constantly traveling every weekend to play in another destination. Fayetteville, Charlotte, now Myrtle Beach. Big Broadway Show TONIGHT! Myrtle Beach High School, 7:30 PM. Three Divas, in concert.

It's sure going to be interesting!

Preparations are still being made for the March 17th recital at UNCW's Beckwith Hall, be sure and come to that one, it's going to be a great program.
